Tips to Help Your Search
– Keep your important documents, such as birth certificates, social security number, photo IDs, and proof of income (pay stubs) safe.
– Keep track of who you contact for help. You may have to “verify homelessness” by having professionals who can vouch that you were experiencing homelessness.
– When you get housing, you’ll need your important identification documents to verify your identity. Not having them on hand or needing to request copies can significantly delay the process.
